Continuing the development and expansion of the Digital Faith Community, we have added two new features to our system: * News Story Dating * Episcopal News Feeds These new features will help you to better communicate with your congregates and potential members by more easily controlling the release of news stories and by providing easy access to diocesan news.

1) News Story Dating - You can now set the news story date when you create a news story. For example, if you are headed off the Communicators and want to put in some news to show up while you are gone just set a future date and when the date comes, the news will post. In the near future we will add a "Publish" button to manually publish news stories when you want and an "Unpublish" button that will allow you to remove from the news pages a story already published.

2) News Feeds - You can now display on your website news feeds from your parish, your diocese, or from the Episcopal News Service. This new feature allows you to push content to your site visitors from anywhere in the Episcopal community. And it's not just news; any content you publish using the DFC news application can be fed to visitors this way. Whether it's sermons, mission blogs, or commentary, you can now effectively push this content to all your users. Since we use RSS technology, you can distribute the news feed to others and they can embed this content on their own site.

We have also created a search function that allows users to search all of these Episcopal news feeds, regardless of their source, and get a complete picture of news and content from the entire Episcopal community. Please go here to beta-test this search feature.
